The Iskalaaji Cultural and Awareness Agency (ICAA), with support from the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC), organized a dynamic awareness campaign featuring printed peace-themed messages, storytelling, and culturally grounded dialogues. This campaign engaged students, young people, educators, elders, and civic influencers through thoughtfully crafted messages reflecting Somalia’s rich culture and its aspirations for harmony. The initiative delivered a compelling call for unity, healing, and collective action, transforming classrooms, homes, and public spaces into a reconciliation hub.
During the tour, the ICAA team met with students and school administrators, inspiring them to become Peace Ambassadors within their schools, communities, and the broader region. Peace is not merely an abstract concept—it is a fundamental cultural right we must all strive to uphold and promote.
ICAA, in partnership with the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC), launched Peace Caravan Tour in Galkayo town .
Esteemed religious leaders and government officials—including Sheikh Mohamoud Hajji, the Puntland Ministers of Interior and Justice, and the Mayors of Galkayo from both Puntland and Galmudug—delivered a powerful, unified message. They called on all communities across Galkayo and the Mudug region to champion peace, unity, coexistence, and social harmony. Let's build a peaceful future together!
